Proverbs 25:2 AMPC

It is the glory of God to conceal a thing, but the glory of kings is to search out a thing.

Psalm 34:1-5 AMPC

I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. [2] My life makes its boast in the Lord; let the humble and afflicted hear and be glad. [3] O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together. [4] I sought (inquired of) the Lord and required Him [of necessity and on the authority of His Word], and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. [5] They looked to Him and were radiant; their faces shall never blush for shame or be confused.

How many times have I withheld my praise and worship of the Lord because I couldn't figure something out?

Maybe I prayed long and hard about a situation and it never seemed to ease or work out.

It was as if the Lord was hiding from me. As hard as I tried nothing made sense.

The Proverb above sheds a light on things: it's the glory of God to conceal a thing.

So many happenings in Creation are hidden under cover - a baby in his mother's womb:

Psalm 139:12-13 AMPC

Even the darkness hides nothing from You, but the night shines as the day; the darkness and the light are both alike to You. [13] For You did form my inward parts; You did knit me together in my mother's womb.

Many "kings" down the ages have searched things out - with their God-given intellect.

Those humble enough have been believers in Jesus, doing their searching under cover of faith.

Us lesser mortals who never make any earth-shattering discoveries still struggle with the meaning of our existence.

Through humbly looking to the Lord we do find our reason.

Blessing and praising the Lord in and through times of disappointment and disillusionment brings about spiritual clarity.

Time to magnify the Lord and not our problems - remember He knows the answer because He IS the answer!

Praise the Lord this blessed Sunday.

Father Son & Holy Spirit I don't want to rob you of praise. All answers lie within You, so I magnify Your Name and look to You for meaning and fulfillment. Hallelujah!

"Lord of all being throned afar

Thy Glory shines from sun and star

Centre and soul of every sphere

Yet to each loving heart how near"
