Proverbs 30:4 NKJV

Who has ascended into Heaven, or descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has bound the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the Earth? What is His Name, and what is His Son's Name, If you know?

Isaiah 9:6 NKJV

For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His Name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Thus the Old Testament "forth tells" of a coming Son, a Son whose Name was yet to be revealed.

In the Proverb passage it asks if the Name of God's Son is known.

Silence!

Adherents to Judaism are still looking for that Name, that Messiah who will come to save them.

They look forward when they should first look back, for their Messiah has come and ascended and will return as He promised.

Mark 14:61-62 NKJV

But He (Jesus) kept silent and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked Him, saying to Him, "Are You the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?" [62] Jesus said, "I Am. And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the Right Hand of the Power, and coming with the clouds of Heaven."

This Christmas time we reflect anew on God's Son, given as the greatest gift of all.

Believers wait, with bated breath, to commemorate and celebrate the first arrival of the promised Son of the Old Testament.

We know His Name:

Luke 1:30-33 NKJV

Then the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favour with God. [31] And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS. [32] He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. [33] And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end."
