Wind messengers

Psalm 104:4 TPT

You make your messengers into winds of the Spirit and all your ministers become flames of fire.

John 3:6-8 NLT

Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life. [7] So don't be surprised when I say, 'You must be born again.' [8] The wind blows wherever it wants. Just as you can hear the wind but can't tell where it comes from or where it is going, so you can't explain how people are born of the Spirit."

If you have been "born again", recreated in Christ's image, you have the most immense privilege of being blown by the Holy Spirit across people's paths in order to be a living messenger of the Good News of Jesus.

Who knows where and how the Holy Spirit will direct you with His life-creating wind today.

You will "blow across" many people's lives as a messenger from Jesus. What will that message be?

Will it be a positive or negative one?

There are all sorts of physical winds: a gentle breeze cooling the heat of summer, and autumn wind blowing away the dead leaves, or a tornado destroying entire communities!

What sort of wind is emanating from my spiritual life right now? Am I a windmill, grinding away at the unbelief eroding society? Am I putting the wind in the sails of folk stuck in the doldrums of life's trials - bringing hope amidst despair?

My influence may seem ever so small and insignificant, but it counts and matters to the Lord.

Yesterday my nephew's twins prayed a sweet prayer for journeying mercies as my nearest and dearest flew home, others prayed too. Those prayers were spiritual and, as a wind, carried him safely home.

May the wind of the Holy Spirit carry you and your prayers today - everything matters, everything is able to be used for His Glory.

Think of yourself as a wind-messenger for Jesus!
