For Zion's sake

Isaiah 62:1-9 GW

For Zion's sake I will not remain silent. For Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until its righteousness shines like the dawn and its salvation burns brightly like a torch. [2] The nations will see your righteousness. All kings will see your glory. You will be given a new name that the LORD will announce. [3] Then you will be a beautiful crown in the hand of the LORD, a royal crown in the hand of your God. [4] You will no longer be called Deserted, and your land will no longer be called Destroyed. But you will be named My Delight, and your land will be named Married. The LORD is delighted with you, and your land will be married. [5] As a young man marries a woman, so your sons will marry you. As a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so your God will rejoice over you. [6] I have posted watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem. They will never be silent day or night. Whoever calls on the LORD, do not give yourselves any rest, [7] and do not give Him any rest until He establishes Jerusalem and makes it an object of praise throughout the earth. [8] The LORD has sworn with His right hand and with His mighty arm, "I will never again let your enemies eat your grain, nor will foreigners drink the new wine which you made." [9] Those who harvest grain will eat it and praise the LORD. Those who gather grapes will drink wine in My holy courtyards.

The Lord our God is determined to establish Zion, yes, Jerusalem as His Holy city. His plans are immutable, unchangeable.

We are encouraged to speak out, pray unceasingly for Zion's sake and not shrink back or keep silent.

Our prayers are to be joined to God's eternal purpose to make Jerusalem a praise for the whole Earth.

But what is the prevailing wind in the world today? It is to divide up Jerusalem in a two state solution.

Crowds belch out hatred towards God's people and false cries of genocide are laid at the feet of Israel.

No one believes what the Lord has decreed, so they recognise a non-existent country of "Palestine", even creating an Embassy in London!

World leaders have constructed a "Board of Peace" to determine the situation in the Holy Land, without consulting the only "Source" on which history will stand!

Joel 3:16-17 GW

The LORD will roar from Zion, and his voice will thunder from Jerusalem. The sky and the earth will shake. The LORD will be a refuge for His people. He will be a stronghold for the people of Israel. [17] "You will know that I AM the LORD your God. I live on My holy mountain, Zion. Jerusalem will be holy. Foreigners will never invade it again.

Friends, let's be defenders of Zion, unafraid of the world's scorn.

Pray for the peace, protection of Zion and for salvation to be poured out on Israel.

Join your heart to the Lord's Will and be that person on the spiritual watch tower.

For Zion's sake don't be silent!
