Prophecies of Zion

Psalm 102:12-16 NKJV

But You, O LORD, shall endure forever, And the remembrance of Your Name to all generations. [13] You will arise and have mercy on Zion; For the time to favour her, Yes, the set time, has come. [14] For Your servants take pleasure in her stones, And show favour to her dust. [15] So the nations shall fear the Name of the LORD, And all the kings of the earth Your Glory. [16] For the LORD shall build up Zion; He shall appear in His Glory.

So much "bilge" is being is being spoken about Zion right now, both by non-believers and, worst of all, by so called Christians!

It is the new curse to be named a "Zio" (someone who believes that Israel is the Jewish homeland and Jerusalem is the eternal capital).

Yet God's Word promises again and again that it is so and that He will build up Zion and appear there in His Glory.

All, yes, ALL the nations will fear the Lord at that time.

There IS an appointed time (verse 13) when the Lord will show favour to Zion and appear there.

Many signs point to that time being very near.

Psalm 102:18 NKJV

This will be written for the generation to come, That a people yet to be created may praise the LORD.

Followers of Jesus know that it will be He who will return to Zion, as He promised.

His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem:

Zechariah 14:4 NKJV

And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, Which faces Jerusalem on the east. And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two, From east to west, Making a very large valley; Half of the mountain shall move toward the north And half of it toward the south.

As Jesus ascended to Heaven, God's messengers told the disciples:

Acts 1:10-11 NKJV

And while they looked steadfastly toward Heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, [11] who also said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into Heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into Heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into Heaven."

Old and New Testaments harmonise to proclaim the culmination of History.

We do well to heed Scripture and not try to replace God's zeal for Zion with His love for the church (Gentile believers in Christ). For we have only been "grafted in" to the promises of God.

Zechariah 8:2-3 NKJV

"Thus says the LORD of hosts: 'I am zealous for Zion with great zeal; With great fervor I am zealous for her.' [3] "Thus says the LORD: 'I will return to Zion, And dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. Jerusalem shall be called the City of Truth, The Mountain of the LORD of hosts, The Holy Mountain.'

We draw a curse on ourselves when we disparage the Chosen people unjustly and blame Israel for the ills of the world.

Hasn't God said "I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you"?

Genesis 12:3 NLT

I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt. All the families on earth will be blessed through you."
