This is the day!
Psalm 118:24 NKJV
This is the day the LORD has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.
So today marks my first breath on this Earth after my precious mum had carried me for 9 months in her womb.
I was treasured, I was welcomed into a loving family - nurtured in the ways of the Lord - until I was old enough to make my own decision to commit to Jesus.
This was truly a blessing.
Yet there are those whose life has been marked with rejection by their parents and have been trafficked and abused...what of them?
Psalm 27:10 NKJV
When my father and my mother forsake me, Then the LORD will take care of me.
Yet over all this, YOUR love has held me when I fell, when I was broken, forsaken and helpless.
It is YOUR love that prevails - YOUR faithfulness that sustains me and will until I meet You face to face.
I am tethered to Your Cross - my only plea before Your Throne - I trust in You and You alone.
Psalm 118:1,4-6,8-9,14,17 NKJV
Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. [4] Let those who fear the LORD now say, "His mercy endures forever." [5] I called on the LORD in distress; The LORD answered me and set me in a broad place. [6] The LORD is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me? [8] It is better to trust in the LORD Than to put confidence in man. [9] It is better to trust in the LORD Than to put confidence in princes. [14] The LORD is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation. [17] I shall not die, but live, And declare the works of the LORD.
Psalm 118:22-24 NKJV
The Stone which the builders rejected Has become the Chief Cornerstone. [23] This was the LORD's doing; It is marvelous in our eyes. [24] This is the day the LORD has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.
