Always winners 🏆

2 Corinthians 2:14-15 NKJV

Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. [15] For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.

How quickly are earthly honours lost - one week ago Arsenal were celebrating winning the league and last night they lost the Champions league on penalties!

What differing emotions were on display - broad smiles and exuberance last week - then tears of disappointment last night - c'est la vie - as the French say.

But, as a Christian, it was great to hear Desire Doue of PSG give glory to Jesus on live TV.

There are winners and losers in sport and, in life. Yet whether we win or lose, in Jesus, we are always ultimate winners!

We share in the eternal victory won by Jesus on the Cross and look for the crowning glory of our blessed Lord when He returns to reign forever.

In Him we always "smell" of victory even in the worst of times. We wear His sweet perfume of love and everlasting life.

Personally, I need reminding of this fact daily and want to spray on that resurrection hope as regularly as I spray on fragrance from my bottle of perfume.

We've all walked down a supermarket aisle where there's someone with B.O. stinking the place out! We avoid that aisle as quickly as possible, don't we?

Let's ensure that we wash away, through Jesus' Blood, any bad odour of bitterness or unforgiveness and put on the perfume of the Resurrected Christ - what a wonderful aroma.

Remember we're always winners in Jesus - let others smell it too.
