Certain and sure prophecy

Isaiah 61:10-11 NKJV

I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, My soul shall be joyful in my God; For He has clothed me with the garments of Salvation, He has covered me with the Robe of Righteousness, As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. [11] For as the earth brings forth its bud, As the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth, So the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.

Yesterday was planting time in our garden. Small bulbs were put in pots, covered with compost with tiny pictures of the future tulips put on the side of those planters to show what we are to expect.

So the Lord has planted His Word with a prophetic image of the future for us to view.

Just like those bulbs are now hidden from view where, it seems, nothing is happening, so God's Promises are propagating throughout numerous "autumns and winters" of history - waiting to be revealed.

In the fullness of time, these prophecies will be gloriously unfolded for all to see.

Jesus' first coming burst into reality exactly as it was promised, so His second coming will bring the establishment of His Eternal Reign.

Galatians 4:4-5 NKJV

But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, [5] to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.

Yes, we look forward in expectation of spring tulips, but, as beautiful as they are, how much more we long for Jesus' Kingdom of Righteousness and True Peace to be unveiled!

Hosea 6:3 NIV

Let us acknowledge the LORD; let us press on to acknowledge HIM. As surely as the sun rises, HE will appear; HE will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.”
