2 Kings 1:5-6 NKJV

And when the messengers returned to him (the king), he said to them, "Why have you come back?" [6] So they said to him, "A man came up to meet us, and said to us, 'Go, return to the king who sent you, and say to him, "Thus says the LORD: 'Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are sending to inquire of Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron? Therefore you shall not come down from the bed to which you have gone up, but you shall surely die.'"'"

God doesn't react well to a multi-faith king here in this passage!

King Ahaziah of Samaria had been badly injured and wanted to know if he would recover. So he sent messengers to ask of Baalzebub (a foreign god) if he would get better.

Those messengers were confronted by the great prophet, Elijah, while they were on their way.

It's a timely word for today that Elijah spoke to the king's messengers:

"Is it because there is no God in Israel that you consult a foreign god?"

Elijah was so in awe of the living Lord God that he was unafraid to speak truth to even an earthly king.

This same bold unction rested on the disciples after they had received the Holy Spirit.

They had been forbidden by the authorities not to speak in the Name of Jesus, but they chose to obey God rather than man and so the Good News spread far and wide:

Acts 5:28-32 NKJV

"Did we not strictly command you not to teach in this name? And look, you have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this Man's blood on us!" [29] But Peter and the other apostles answered and said: "We ought to obey God rather than men. [30] The God of our fathers raised up Jesus whom you murdered by hanging on a tree. [31] Him God has exalted to His right hand to be Prince and Saviour, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins. [32] And we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him."

Our monarch has chosen to lead this nation into being a multi-faith protectorate and we need the same Holy Ghost courage to respond : "Is there no God in the UK that you reach out to foreign gods?"

The Cross of Jesus has flown over this land proclaiming the He alone is The Way to God. Any other "way" is a deceptive lie of satan.

It is not tolerant to protect false religions.

The book of Acts narrates how the Apostles travelled throughout the known world challenging the worship of false gods, turning whole nations to Christ because they believed that Jesus is the only Way to God and life eternal.

The message hasn't changed with the times:

John 3:16 NKJV

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Any other way leads to destruction.

Matthew 7:13 NKJV

"Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.
