Human arrogance mimics Satan

Isaiah 14:12-14 NKJV

"How you are fallen from Heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations! [13] For you have said in your heart: 'I will ascend into Heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; [14] I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.'

This passage opens the door on the origins of pride and arrogance. They are lucifarian and satanic.

Every time man sets aside the Omnipotence of God and tries to exalt himself above the Lord we see the same demonic theme.

Secularism states that we make our own version of right and wrong. We decide the rules. We dictate as we see fit and confine Biblical values to the dustbin of morality.

Every time you or I thumb our noses at God's ordained order, we are raising ourselves above the Almighty. There is only one outcome of such demonic defiance.

Isaiah 14:15-17 NKJV

Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, To the lowest depths of the Pit. [16] "Those who see you will gaze at you, And consider you, saying: 'Is this the one who made the earth tremble, Who shook kingdoms, [17] Who made the world as a wilderness And destroyed its cities, Who did not open the house of his prisoners?'

How are the mighty fallen was written about king Saul. Sadly, he fell because of arrogance and pride.

He thought he was above the Lord, he made himself a god in his own image and it ended in destruction.

This week we have seen the arrogance of our own leaders in the UK. They make threats against Israel with false accusations of "ethnic cleansing" and "genocide"!

They will be brought down using their own words to convict them.

Ed Miliband, the foreign secretary, stated that he is a proud British Jew! This itself is laughable - what, a Jew who denies the existence of God and the authority of Scripture? Someone who wants to divide up the Land and dictate to the Israeli government! Let's see how that pans out for him!

Joel 3:1-2 NKJV

"For behold, in those days and at that time, When I bring back the captives of Judah and Jerusalem, [2] I will also gather all nations, And bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; And I will enter into judgment with them there On account of My people, My heritage Israel, Whom they have scattered among the nations; They have also divided up My land.

The Lord has a diary date to deal with such leaders of nations and to bring down all arrogance and pride.

It's time to humble ourselves under the mighty Hand of God the He may exalt us in due time.

1 Peter 5:5-7 NKJV

Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for "God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble." [6] Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, [7] casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

James 4:10 NKJV

Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.

Isaiah 66:2 NKJV

For all those things My Hand has made, And all those things exist," Says the LORD. "But on this one will I look: On him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, And who trembles at My Word.
