Psalm 105:17-22 AMPC
He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold as a servant. [18] His feet they hurt with fetters; he was laid in chains of iron and his soul entered into the iron, [19] Until his word [to his cruel brothers] came true, until the Word of the Lord tried and tested him. [20] The king sent and loosed him, even the ruler of the peoples, and let him go free. [21] He made Joseph lord of his house and ruler of all his substance, [22] To bind his princes at his pleasure and teach his elders wisdom.
Joseph, what lessons we can learn from his life.
The Amplified version explains it, graphically, as "his soul entered into the iron!"

Joseph's life had gone on a downward spiral, even though, through his God-given dreams, he was promised amazing authority.
From being his father's beloved son, he was sold by his jealous brothers to be a slave in Egypt.
He was falsely accused of attempted rape of his boss's wife and ended up in prison.
Yet, we see that the Lord had him strategically placed where Pharaoh's prisoners were held.
We know that Joseph's faith remained intact, because he continued with dream interpretation even in jail.
Yet, during this time of confinement, his soul took a bashing, even merging with the iron of those restricting chains.
Let's not forget he was in jail for years.
When going through intense times of testing, we too may find that our soulish emotions are compacted and cramped, becoming merged with those difficulties.
God understands.
Not only that, He has plans to unfetter your soul and unleash your creativity in new and improved ways.
If your trust is constant, your spirit set on God's Word, the Lord has plans to set you free in your soul.
It may not look like it, but you have been strategically placed just where you are!
