Jacob's trouble!

Daniel 12:1-4 NKJV

"At that time Michael shall stand up, The great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people; And there shall be a time of trouble, Such as never was since there was a nation, Even to that time. And at that time your people shall be delivered, Every one who is found written in the book. [2] And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, Some to everlasting life, Some to shame and everlasting contempt. [3] Those who are wise shall shine Like the brightness of the firmament, And those who turn many to righteousness Like the stars forever and ever. [4] "But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase."

Have you noticed the rise of extreme hatred against the Jewish people? Have you been seduced by the media to condemn Israel? Are global politics being infected by anti-Semitism?

It seems inexplicable until viewed through the lens of prophetic Scripture.

For almost 2, 000 years Israel was not a nation and the people were scattered across many nations, but then they were back:

Jeremiah 30:1-3 NKJV

The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying, [2] "Thus speaks the LORD God of Israel, saying: 'Write in a book for yourself all the words that I have spoken to you. [3] For behold, the days are coming,' says the LORD, 'that I will bring back from captivity My people Israel and Judah,' says the LORD. 'And I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.'"

That part has been fulfilled - but that's not the end. Still they do not acknowledge their Lord nationally. Many are "dyed in the wool" atheists.

The next step is Jacob's trouble.

Think the Jews have had it hard via pogroms and Holocaust? That's nothing to what is coming before the Return of Yeshua the Messiah:

Jeremiah 30:4-7 NKJV

Now these are the words that the LORD spoke concerning Israel and Judah. [5] "For thus says the LORD: 'We have heard a voice of trembling, Of fear, and not of peace. [6] Ask now, and see, Whether a man is ever in labour with child? So why do I see every man with his hands on his loins Like a woman in labour, And all faces turned pale? [7] Alas! For that day is great, So that none is like it; And it is the time of Jacob's trouble, But he shall be saved out of it.

End times are upon us people. We need to watch and pray all the more. Pray for the salvation of Israel and the peace of Jerusalem.

Yet note that these things must happen and then the end will come.

Matthew 24:16-22 NKJV

"then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. [17] Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. [18] And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. [19] But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! [20] And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. [21] For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. [22] And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect's sake those days will be shortened.

A great cataclysmic climax is coming upon the world, be ready, be found in Jesus.
