Lack of restraint

Proverbs 29:18 NKJV

Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; But happy is he who keeps the law.

The appalling sight of people marching into a shop or supermarket, brazenly helping themselves to whatever takes their fancy and walking out, without being challenged. That is happening daily in our towns and cities.

Theft is being overlooked.

Yesterday, in Parliament, the Prime Minister ignored the challenge to open a national inquiry into the Grooming Gangs, choosing rather to focus on a donation given to another party leader, thus diverting attention from the this huge scandal.

The ongoing exposure to abuse is conveniently covered over - justice is being denied.

Christian values, once the backbone of Britain's laws, are quietly being dismantled by the crown, the church of England and Parliament.

Our monarch has pronounced himself a defender of all faiths in a multi-faith society. He has cast off restraint because he has no revelation of the Truth who is Jesus, God Incarnate.

Of course, if you discard the Word of God, then there are no absolutes. Oaths and vows don't matter. Placing a hand on the Bible means nothing if you don't believe in its veracity!

It follows, then, that you can do whatever you want, because conscience has been dulled and derailed.

1 Timothy 4:1-2 NLT

Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons. [2] These people are hypocrites and liars, and their consciences are dead.

Jesus calls Himself the Door, the only way to God and true life.

John 10:7-10 NKJV

Then Jesus said to them again, "Most assuredly, I say to you, I Am the Door of the sheep. [8] All who ever came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. [9] I Am the Door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. [10] The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

There is no room for another faith in a country that believes Jesus Christ is the only way to God. But He has been effectively demoted to the level of all and no faiths.

We see a nation that has clearly cast off restraint in every area and we are reaping the destructive consequences thereof.

We need strong, prophetic men of God, unafraid to speak the Truth boldly in love to our nation.

May God have mercy and wake us up out of this coma of unbelief.

2 Peter 2:1-2 NKJV

there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. [2] And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed.
