Isaiah 55:6-11 NKJV

Seek the LORD while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. [7] Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the LORD, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon. [8] "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," says the LORD. [9] "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts. [10] "For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater, [11] So shall My Word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

In this early morn, I was so happy to see that there had been rain in the night. Even with the small amount of moisture, the parched lawn had tinges of green once more.

Then the Holy Spirit led me to this blessed passage.

Each barren, unbelieving soul is in the Hands of the Lord. He has His appointed time to make the rain of His Spirit fall down and water the Word.

As impossible as it may seem, God will accomplish what He wants in the Earth.

He sends out His Word and it won't achieve "nothing".

As Jesus said, for with God "nothing" is impossible!

In my heart I pray "let it rain" - yes rain down on the Word-seed that has been planted. Let it grow and give the Bread of Life to the hungry soul, to the despairing one.

Father God, let Your Word go out into the homes of our people and awaken the sleeping, and bring Hope and Salvation.

Those precious prayers that have been sown before Your Throne are not lost in some vacuum - they are in Your Hands.

You are alert and active watching over Your Word to perform it(Jeremiah 1:12).

Let it rain!

Giving back what belongs to God
