No shortcuts

Proverbs 14:12 NKJV

There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death.

Absolutely that's true - no one can cheat death - although, even as I type this, they are trying so to do.

The fusion of human consciousness and AI tech is being trialed behind the scenes. Ask the likes of Yuval Harari and Elon Musk.

Satan's ploys may look more sophisticated than the Garden of Eden, but boil down to the same basic ingredients....

You don't need God, or His Word, He's a killjoy, you can be like God yourself, you won't die!

Genesis 3:4-5 NKJV

Then the serpent said to the woman, "You will not surely die. [5] For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."

The god of this world comes to cheat us with lies, deceit and corruption. Dig deep into the rich and powerful of this world and you will find a web of darkness leading to the father of lies.

Jesus, during His temptation in the wilderness, was offered a "shortcut"

to success in His mission by satan.

"Be famous, by making a big show of miracles, show yourself as divine, chuck yourself off the temple top so that angels will rescue you in full view of everyone. I'll give you all the support at my fingertips if you do it my way," said the devil.

If Jesus had given in to His hunger in the wilderness, we would have been lost forever.

But Jesus knew the Word because He IS the Word (made flesh).

Matthew 4:4 NKJV

But He answered and said, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.'"

He was quoting Deuteronomy 8:3.

As He told Pilate, My Kingdom is not of this world:

John 18:36-37 NKJV

Jesus answered, "My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here." [37] Pilate therefore said to Him, "Are You a king then?" Jesus answered, "You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice."

God's Way is the only way that leads to eternal life.
