Not one sparrow...
Matthew 10:28-30 TPT
Don't be in fear of those who can kill only the body but not your soul. Fear only God, who is able to destroy both soul and body in Hell. [29] You can buy two sparrows for only a copper coin, yet not even one sparrow falls from its nest without the knowledge of your Father. Aren't you worth much more to God than many sparrows? [30] So don't worry. For your Father cares deeply about even the smallest detail of your life.

The object lesson, stark and practical first thing this morning, was in our garden.
Our ever growing, 9 month old "puppy" was busy, nose buried in the forbidden area of shrubs at the top corner of the garden.
From my coseted position in the conservatory I bellowed at him to come out of there.
Suddenly he emerged with a small blackbird in his mouth. With my angry yelling, he opened his jaws and the poor creature managed to escape for a moment, but he continued his deadly pursuit!
Of course I ran to the garden in my PJ's and, after some attempts to avoid my tackles, said puppy was driven indoors, away from the stricken bird.
Hubby then joined me, and, he managed to rescue the bird and put her out of the garden to relative safety.
As she was so traumatised, she may not survive the shock of the attack. But we hope so.
Jesus spoke very clearly about God watching over tiny sparrows, pretty worthless in those days. He sees when each one falls.
Then He compares their worth to how much more we're valued in His eyes.
If I'm still distressed about that blackbird's traumatic experience, how much more is my Heavenly Father concerned with our daily issues?
He feels it, He sees it, but, moreover, He has the power and love to intervene.
Of course, there may be times when our bodies may not survive, but He is then putting us "over the fence" to the safety of Heaven.
Be assured, through the words of Jesus, that you and I matter so much to Him. So much that He went to the extreme of giving His Life for us on the Cross to rescue us from Death and Hell.
Whatever comes against you today, don't fear, stand strong in your Heavenly Father's protection - nothing is hidden from His watchful Eye.
