On His Way!

Revelation 1:7-8,17-18 NKJV

Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen. [8] "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End," says the Lord, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty." [17] And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, "Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. [18] I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.

Look at this recent declaration from the Kremlin:

"Vladimir Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov warned there was no modern equivalent of the threat facing the globe - 'It seems to us that the end of the world is upon us...'

Cataclysmic events are unfolding in this world - Jesus' warnings of wars and rumours of wars - the labour pains of His Return - are upon us.

It's enough to stir the calmest of souls.

To understand these things we need to turn to end times scriptures, and, above all, the book of Revelation.

Here we read of the transcendence of our God, personified in Christ Jesus.

He is the Beginning and the End, the Living One who died and is now alive forevermore.

Moreover He has the Keys of Hades and Death.

What are His Words of admonition? His first call was "Don't be afraid!"

When bombs are exploding and violence is on the streets, unleashed on the innocent - how can we not be afraid? That's a very good question.

The Lord wants to bestow His supernatural peace upon us, within and around us.

In the epicentre of His will there IS calm - Jesus was able to sleep in the storm, when His disciples were panicking, fearing the worst.

These are times to get closer to the haven which the Lord Jesus freely offers to all who would come to Him.

When you are at Death's door, better trust in the One who has been there and come back victorious - who has the master keys in His nail-pierced hands.

Yes, don't be afraid, but trust in Him who died and is NOW, RIGHT NOW, alive forevermore.
