Only a spectator!

Psalm 91:8 AMPC

Only a spectator shall you be [yourself inaccessible in the secret place of the Most High] as you witness the reward of the wicked.

As bombs fell in Israel, the people were instructed to go to the mamad (the safe rooms) in their homes.

Our friends, with a newborn baby girl, told us they were not safe enough in the mamad. Even these could not protect in a direct hit from a ballistic missile.

The news has shown images of such safe rooms being blasted to bits, tragically, with fatalities.

So our friends said that they would go to a public shelter which was more secure.

In this day of super weaponry, there is no earthly place of ultimate safety.

The Lord, by His Spirit spoke this verse above to my heart this morning.

There is an impenetrable spiritual "Mamad" in which to shelter, with boundless security, putting you and I out of reach of the enemy - even the final enemy of death:

Psalm 91:1-5 AMPC

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand]. [2] I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust! [3] For [then] He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. [4] [Then] He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings shall you trust and find refuge; His truth and His faithfulness are a shield and a buckler. [5] You shall not be afraid of the terror of the night, nor of the arrow (the evil plots and slanders of the wicked) that flies by day

That "Secret Place" is no longer a secret. God has revealed Himself in Jesus and He says:

Matthew 11:28 AMPC

Come to Me, all you who labour and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.]

He wants you there, so you can watch His ultimate triumph, just for the price of believing and trusting in Him.
