Separated

Genesis 1:4 NLT

And God saw that the light was good. Then he separated the light from the darkness.

Day and night have been separated since God created all existence.

The two can't mingle - when the sun rises, it's day time, when it sets the night has come.

We see this very clearly during plane travel where there's a clean line between light and dark.

We live in an age of grey areas and ever changing goal posts of morality.

What was thought of as wrong in days past now is an acceptable norm.

Hence, we have abortion up to birth and assisted dying in our laws - no separation of light from darkness!

As believers in God's Immutable Word we must hold to the separation of light from darkness.

Refuse those grey areas and stand firmly in the Light of Christ.

Colossians 1:13 NLT

For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of His dear Son

John 8:12 NLT

Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, "I Am the light of the world. If you follow Me, you won't have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life."

Rejoice and stand always in the Light of Christ and decline any entrance of darkness.

There's no shadow of turning in our Heavenly Father:

James 1:16-17 NLT

So don't be misled, my dear brothers and sisters. [17] Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.

Father God, as this New Year stands as a clean slate, please separate me from all darkness. Help me to walk in the light that Jesus sheds on my path.
