Psalm 3:1-6 NKJV

LORD, how they have increased who trouble me! Many are they who rise up against me. [2] Many are they who say of me, "There is no help for him in God." Selah [3] But You, O LORD, are a Shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head. [4] I cried to the LORD with my voice, And He heard me from His Holy Hill. Selah [5] I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the LORD sustained me. [6] I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people Who have set themselves against me all around.

So many have been rejoicing at Charlie Kirk's assassination. It was truly sickening to see some of the social media posts chanting "We got Charlie in the neck!"

The truth he spoke evoked such a revulsion in their darkened hearts that the only response was the desire to silence him completely.

It's a pattern that has been repeated down the ages. Indeed, many of Jesus' first disciples were martyred for witnessing of Jesus' Truth.

Jesus Himself, as He taught in the Temple, enraged the religious leaders so much that they plotted to kill Him.

Little did they know that His Death would revolutionise everything and His Resurrection bring the hope of eternal life to billions around the world, continuing to this day.

Whatever opposition we face, we don't face it alone. The Lord is a shield around each believer and He lifts up our heads to His Glory.

That bullet which pierced Charlie Kirk's neck had to pass through the Lord's Shield around him, perhaps ensuring that his death was instant and painless, ushuring him into Glory eternally!

God had "numbered his days" and his death was "precious in the sight of the Lord".

Psalm 116:15 NKJV

Precious in the sight of the LORD Is the death of His saints.

If it seems like the Lord isn't with you, hold onto the truth, keep speaking up, whatever happens.

Charlie affected many in his life, but his death will inspire many more to carry the message to the ends of the earth.

So, if you don't have any enemies or if you don't inspire any hatred for speaking up for Jesus, it's not a great sign!

The Truth steps on people's toes and exposes the darkness - there will be many who oppose and violently pursue you - even in your own family!

John 15:18 NKJV

"If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you.
