Isaiah 55:9 AMPC
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.
Oh how true, Lord!
This morning I looked back over my life, examined my inner motives and desires - it's not a good look!
So many failures, diversions and distractions have taken me off course - all of my own making.
James 1:13-15 AMPC
Let no one say when he is tempted, I am tempted from God; for God is incapable of being tempted by [what is] evil and He Himself tempts no one. [14] But every person is tempted when he is drawn away, enticed and baited by his own evil desire (lust, passions). [15] Then the evil desire, when it has conceived, gives birth to sin, and sin, when it is fully matured, brings forth death.
Oh how true!
I am anchored to the foot of the Cross, so that Jesus' holy blood pleads for and covers me.

There's no other plea than that of have mercy, dear Lord. For I am guilty, worthy only of wrath. Yet I receive forgiveness!
Oh that humbling forgiveness which Jesus gives - it rocks my independence and pride to the core.
It's an earthquake of undeserving love, shattering earthly norms of earned merit.
There's nothing I can do that would make Jesus love me more and nothing that would make Him love me less - what an awesome fact of divine agape love.
It's not how I react, my thoughts are not like God's - my poor love is tainted by selfishness.
It's good to stop, take stock and get back to basics - founded on that amazing grace.
