Genesis 3:6-7 NLT
The woman was convinced. She saw that the tree was beautiful and its fruit looked delicious, and she wanted the wisdom it would give her. So she took some of the fruit and ate it. Then she gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it, too. [7] At that moment their eyes were opened, and they suddenly felt shame at their nakedness. So they sewed fig leaves together to cover themselves.
"Go on, just have a look, it won't hurt to look will it?"
Probably that's the most lethal weapon Satan has has in his ancient armoury - "look" - becomes a precursor to "lust" - to long to possess - followed by action.
It worked in the Garden of Eden causing Eve and then Adam to fall and it's been working ever since.
That's why pornography is so addictive, leading to the acting out of the desires it creates.
Each of us have innumerable images thrust at us daily via advertising - which encourages us just to "look".
That look creates desire and then we're on that ancient merry-go-round.
So we need to guard where we look:
Hebrews 12:1-2 NKJV
Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, [2] looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
When tempted to "just have a look" by Satan, turn away and look to Jesus - He will keep you on track.
