The voice of blood

Genesis 4:10 NKJV

And He said, "What have you done? The voice of your brother's blood cries out to Me from the ground.

Yesterday the UK Parliament voted for abortion up to birth and decriminalised it in all cases.

All seems calm on the surface, doesn't it?

For those culpable MPs, life goes on seemingly unaffected by this cataclysmic vote.

Most are ignorant of the medical mechanics of this slaughterous trade - their heads thrust firmly into the sand.

They've gone home to their fun-filled weekends impervious to the question from the Almighty:

WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?

If the blood of Abel, just one innocent life, cried out, how much more does the blood of the millions of the unborn cry out to the Lord?

We may close our ears to those cries, but God hears and mourns over each and every squandered child.

Our land is filthy with the flow of innocent blood.

Psalm 106:38 NKJV

And shed innocent blood, The blood of their sons and daughters, Whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan; And the land was polluted with blood.

We may not have the same idols as the primitive Canaanites - ours are more homogenised and sophisticated.

We worship at the altar of "women's rights", "economics" and "convenience".

Unless we acknowledge our guilt there awaits a just reward for what has been sown in Parliament yesterday.

Lord have mercy on us.

Let's pray for a block against this in the House of Lords.
