Isaiah 8:11-13 NKJV
For the LORD spoke thus to me with a strong Hand, and instructed me that I should not walk in the way of this people, saying: [12] "Do not say, 'A conspiracy,' Concerning all that this people call a conspiracy, Nor be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled. [13] The LORD of hosts, Him you shall hallow; Let Him be your fear, And let Him be your dread.
Super flu, crashing economy, digital over-reach, tyrannical governments - there's so much to combat in our society.
Speak out, if you dare, about nefarious plans to reduce the population or eradicate Christianity and you are labelled a conspiracy theorist.
How wonderful to find concealed in Scripture a very contemporary passage.
In the midst of all the man-made threats and fears, the Lord of hosts calls us to hallow and rightly fear only Him.

We can, with some justification, dread what the government is legislating and bringing upon us, without warning, but believers are called to healthily dread only the Hand of the Lord.
Look back at all the tyrannical leaders of the past - they each have faced their demise, often in ignomy and disgrace.
Take the Nazi leaders who found their end in suicide or hanging at Nuremberg. Those that ran lived in constant dread of being found in some obscure land. Even Eichmann was tried and hanged by the people he sought to annihilate.
Jesus taught us to pray "Our Father who is in Heaven "Hallowed" be Your Name.
If we more than respect, reverence, live in awe of and healthily fear the Lord, we can live WITHOUT fear or dread of anyone or anything else.
Put God in His rightfully awesome first place, recognise His Sovereignty over history and pray "Your Kingdom come, Your Will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven" and leave the rest in His Almighty Hands.
May it be so today and each day in our lives.
Psalm 37:1-4 NKJV
Do not fret because of evildoers, Nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. [2] For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, And wither as the green herb. [3] Trust in the LORD, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. [4] Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
