Transformed by Light

1 John 3:1-3 NKJV

Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. [2] Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. [3] And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

Wow! What a thought, what an incredible truth - that at Jesus' Appearing we shall be miraculously changed into His likeness...in the twinkling of an eye.

1 Corinthians 15:51-54 NKJV

Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed- [52] in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. [53] For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. [54] So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: "Death is swallowed up in victory."

That "treasure" of New Life in Jesus, contained in the cracked pots of our fallen flesh, will be placed into our eternal transformed bodies.

2 Corinthians 4:6-7 NKJV

For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. [7] But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.

How can this be? Our Heavenly Father, Creator God, makes light shine out of darkness - He can do the impossible:

There's no room for boasting, just for shining in the darkest places.

Even in the Gaza tunnels He made His light to shine.

He will swallow up Death in victory!
