Job 19:23-27 NKJV
"Oh, that my words were written! Oh, that they were inscribed in a book! [24] That they were engraved on a rock With an iron pen and lead, forever! [25] For I know that my Redeemer lives, And He shall stand at last on the earth; [26] And after my skin is destroyed, this I know, That in my flesh I shall see God, [27] Whom I shall see for myself, And my eyes shall behold, and not another. How my heart yearns within me!
For all Jobs sufferings and loss, for which he had no explanation, there was one thing that he did know...
He knew that his Redeemer lives.
He knew that he would see Him stand on the earth. He knew that even after his body perished, there would be resurrection and a time when he would have a new body with which to worship His God.
Yes, Job made his complaint known to God, but never received (in this life) any explanation for his suffering.
But he clung to what he DID know.
It's such an example for us to follow when faced with undeserved circumstances.
Yes, face those doubts, armed with what you DO know - that our Redeemer lives - that a day is coming when He will stand on the earth. He WILL put things right.

That's a challenge for each one of us when faced with the increasing violence of wicked dictators and corrupt governments.
What do YOU know?
Nicole C Mullen wrote her beautiful song based on this passage:
"Who taught the sun?
Where to stand in the morning
And who taught the ocean
You can only come this far
And who showed the moon
Where to hide till evening
Whose words alone can
Catch a falling star
Well I know my Redeemer lives
I know my Redeemer lives
All of creation testifies
This life within me cries
I know my Redeemer lives
Yeah
The very same God
That spins things in orbit
Runs to the weary
The worn and the weak
And the same gentle hands
That hold me when I'm broken
They conquer death to bring me victory
Now I know my Redeemer lives
I know my Redeemer lives
Let all creation testify
Let this life within me cry
I know my Redeemer
He lives to take away my shame
And He lives forever I'll proclaim
That the payment for my sin
Was the precious life He gave
But now He's alive and there's an empty grave
And I know my Redeemer, He lives
I know my Redeemer lives
Let all creation testify
Let this life within me cry
I know my Redeemer lives"
