Nothing

John 15:5,9 NLT

"Yes, I AM the Vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in Me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing. [9] "I have loved you even as the Father has loved Me. Remain in My love.

Apart from Me, Jesus said, you can do nothing!

That's what I achieved yesterday!

When facing a complex situation, how futile to trust in ourselves, or, turn to AI for assistance - Jesus makes it crystal clear - going it alone, without being, dwelling in Him achieves nothing.

I ended yesterday with a knot in my stomach and a vague feeling of frustrated, impending doom.

Why? I was going solo!

It's easy to dismiss Jesus' interest in my mundane work, but He WANTS to be involved in it.

He wants to lubricate everything with His Presence and Love.

He reminded me this morning, once again, with the warning: "without Me you can do nothing!"

When will I get this through my thick head, stubbornly going it alone, when I have Jesus' A.I. (Almighty Intelligence) free to access!

Look at what happens to the branches that don't stay within the vine:

John 15:6 NLT

Anyone who does not remain in Me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned.

Look at the broken off branch!

My vain attempts to do things minus Jesus end up withering away and burnt up.

So I surrender again the crumpled heap of self striving to reunite with The Vine of Jesus and His Love.

Starting this day with Jesus, asking for His Help to stay united (not untied) moment by moment.

John 15:15-17 NLT

I no longer call you slaves, because a master doesn't confide in his slaves. Now you are My friends, since I have told you everything the Father told Me. [16] You didn't choose Me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using My name. [17] This is My command: Love each other.
