Prison bound, heart free!

Jeremiah 32:1-2,26-27 NKJV

The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, which was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar. [2] For then the king of Babylon's army besieged Jerusalem, and Jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of the prison, which was in the king of Judah's house. [26] Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying, [27] "Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?

God's Word comes to us in the strangest of places.

There was Jeremiah, shut up in prison, in his own capital city. Yet there, right there, God's Word came to him.

His body may have been bound, but he was heart free.

When he looked at his most feeble and helpless, the Lord challenged him: "Is anything too hard for Me?"

Jeremiah had been faithfully going against the grain of society, speaking out boldly to those who were falsely religious and trusting in lies.

You wouldn't have blamed him if he had given up or given in to peer pressure. Yet God's Word burned in his soul, even like a fire in his bones.

Jeremiah 20:9 NKJV

Then I said, "I will not make mention of Him, Nor speak anymore in His Name." But His Word was in my heart like a burning fire Shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, And I could not.

There are many "heart free" believers who are in similar position to that of Jeremiah - imprisoned for their faith, right now!

May they and we keep speaking up to the arrogant leaders who think that they can defy God with impunity.

The Lord WILL act and fulfill His Word no matter how unlikely looks.

For nothing is too hard for Him.

Hallelujah

Stay heart free in Jesus!
