What the nations should hear

Jeremiah 31:10-13 NKJV

"Hear the word of the LORD, O nations, And declare it in the isles afar off, and say, 'He who scattered Israel will gather him, And keep him as a shepherd does his flock.' [11] For the LORD has redeemed Jacob, And ransomed him from the hand of one stronger than he. [12] Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, Streaming to the goodness of the LORD- For wheat and new wine and oil, For the young of the flock and the herd; Their souls shall be like a well-watered garden, And they shall sorrow no more at all. [13] "Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, And the young men and the old, together; For I will turn their mourning to joy, Will comfort them, And make them rejoice rather than sorrow.

Those nations berating Israel right now should hear this from God's Word.

The Lord is on the case - He is guarding and shepherding Israel.

Let the politicians carry on their "bleating" - decrying the very existence of Israel and the cause of Zion. If only they could see the onset of their decline.

Perhaps the violence let loose on the streets of France is part of the recompense for the denial of Israel's right to defend itself or even exist?

Here in the UK, we may be about to fall into the Hands of the living God too. Because we have forgotten to uphold the Word of the Lord.

What God says, goes! Who can tell the Lord what to do?

O how vain is humanity! We think we know better than God.

However, we should learn that what is written in Scripture is undeniable and unstoppable.

We cannot say that we don't have the information to hand, because the Lord has spoken and not hidden His purpose in the Scriptures.

Isaiah 46:9-10 NKJV

Remember the former things of old, For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me, [10] Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things that are not yet done, Saying, 'My counsel shall stand, And I will do all My pleasure,'
