Psalm 139:7-12 NKJV

Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your Presence? [8] If I ascend into Heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in Hell, behold, You are there. [9] If I take the wings of the morning, And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, [10] Even there Your Hand shall lead me, And Your Right Hand shall hold me. [11] If I say, "Surely the darkness shall fall on me," Even the night shall be light about me; [12] Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You, But the night shines as the day; The darkness and the light are both alike to You.

How many of us prayed for those hostages - that the Lord would sustain and supernaturally uphold them whilst in captivity.

The mother of Avinatan Or stated that she would be "with" her son every day until he was released.

Just imagine her deep, deep incredulous delight when her arms held him and her eyes looked deep into his.

Since his kidnap no word had been heard of him, but, instinctively she knew he would survive. Moreover he testified that he felt her presence.

Love hopes all things, believes all things, love never fails ..

1 Corinthians 13:7-8 NKJV

Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. [8] Love never fails.

Love is what kept hope alive, even in the darkest moments. Love is the "wi-fi" in a mother's heart.

Yet there is a still greater love than a mother's love:

Isaiah 49:14-17 NKJV

But Zion said, "The LORD has forsaken me, And my Lord has forgotten me." [15] "Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you. [16] See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My Hands; Your walls are continually before Me. [17] Your sons shall make haste; Your destroyers and those who laid you waste Shall go away from you.

We may not see it, we may not feel it, but God's love NEVER fails...in dark or light ...it IS there with us.

Jonah felt it in the belly of the great fish:

Jonah 2:2,4-6 NKJV

And he said: "I cried out to the LORD because of my affliction, And He answered me. "Out of the belly of Sheol I cried, And You heard my voice. [4] Then I said, 'I have been cast out of Your sight; Yet I will look again toward Your holy temple.' [5] The waters surrounded me, even to my soul; The deep closed around me; Weeds were wrapped around my head. [6] I went down to the moorings of the mountains; The earth with its bars closed behind me forever; Yet You have brought up my life from the pit, O LORD, my God.

We all get swept overboard by rash decisions of our own making, only to be swallowed up by the "big fish" of seeming destruction.

Yet that "big fish" is the vessel of Redemption - turning us around to face the truth and the Lord!

Love never fails!
